Albanese Government’s National Anti-Corruption Commission lifts Australia’s international reputation
The Albanese Government has delivered an immediate lift in Australia’s international standing.
For the first time in a decade Australia’s ranking in Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index has risen, lifting five places to 13th.
Australia’s proud record of being one of the world’s most open, transparent and least corrupt nations was trashed by nine years of Liberal rorts, secrecy and failure to deliver its promised integrity commission.
Under the Liberals Australia’s rank in the global Corruption Perceptions Index fell 11 places to 18th – the worst result of any OECD country and the worst result in our history.
Now, under the Albanese Government, Australia is turning the corner, with Transparency International directly attributing this to “the landmark National Anti-Corruption Commission.”
The Transparency International report shows the Albanese Government is delivering on its commitment to restore trust and integrity to federal politics.
