Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus QC MP and State Member for Mordialloc, Tim Richardson MP have made a $500 bet that they can outrun the other in the 2017 Edithvale CFA All Fired Up Fun Run, with the loser of the bet to make a $500 donation to the Edithvale CFA Fire Brigade.
Im fired up for this run and am quietly confident that I can outpace Tim over the 5kms, Mr Dreyfus said.
This will be my second Edithvale CFA Fun Run. Its a fantastic local event and Ill be training by doing a few laps up and down Mordialloc Beach over the summer.
In the end, whether I finish ahead of Tim or not, Ill just be happy to help raise some funds for the Edithvale CFA, Mr Dreyfus said.
State Member for Mordialloc, Tim Richardson will be running in his first Edithvale CFA Fun Run.
The Edithvale CFA Fun Run raises funds for one of the great organisations of our community, Mr Richardson said.
The Andrews State Labor Government is building a new fire station for the Edithvale CFA with construction to start in the coming months.
I hope to do that little bit more by beating Mark in this race and letting him donate an extra $500 to help the Edithvale CFA continue its fantastic work, Mr Richardson said.
The 2017 Edithvale CFA All Fired Up Fun Run raises funds for the Edithvale CFA. It will be held on Sunday 26 March 2017 and registrations for the run can be made online at: http://www.allfiredupfunrun.com.au/
