APPOINTMENTS OF JUSTICES TO THE HIGH COURT OF AUSTRALIA
Labor congratulates Federal Court Justices Jacqueline Gleeson and Simon Steward on their appointments to the High Court of Australia.
The High Court is one of Australia’s most important public institutions. By protecting and upholding our Constitution and the rule of law, the Court plays a critical role in the functioning of our democracy.
Labor congratulates and thanks Justice Nettle for his fine service to the Court, and the nation, and wishes him well in his retirement.
Labor also wishes Justice Bell the very best in her final four months on the Court.
