STRONGER COMMUNITIES PROGRAM OPEN FOR ROUND THREE
Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has invited local community and sporting groups to apply for a grant through Round Three of the Stronger Communities Program.
The program, which offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital works, is open to sporting, community and not-for-profit groups with an Australian Business Number, on a matched funding basis.
This grants program is a great opportunity for local community and sporting groups to apply for federal funding to build or purchase an item that improves the capacity of our community, Mr Dreyfus said.
The first two rounds of this program delivered some fantastic projects for the Kingston community, including $5,000 to repaint the Chelsea Heights Community Centre, $20,000 to install new floodlights at the Aspendale Tennis Club, $20,000 to install a new scoreboard at the Mentone Reserve and $5,470 to install pop up shade marquees at the Carrum Bowls Club.
Interested community groups should contact the office of Mark Dreyfus on 9580 4651 for more information or make an expression of interest at: www.markdreyfus.com
