STRONGER COMMUNITIES PROGRAM OPEN FOR ROUND THREE
Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has invited local community and sporting groups to apply for a grant through Round Three of the Stronger Communities Program.
The program, which offers grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital works, is open to sporting, community and not-for-profit groups with an Australian Business Number, on a matched funding basis.
This grants program is a great opportunity for local community and sporting groups to apply for federal funding to build or purchase an item that improves the capacity of our community, Mr Dreyfus said.
The first two rounds of this program delivered some fantastic projects for the Frankston community, including $9,025 for the Lyrebird Community Centre in Carrum Downs to establish a community caf on the centre premises and $5000 for the Skye Soccer Club to undergo kitchen renovations at their clubrooms.
Interested community groups should contact the office of Mark Dreyfus on 9580 4651 for more information or make an expression of interest at: www.markdreyfus.com
