SOUTHERN ROAD RESERVE TO SHINE UNDER LABOR
A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will make Southern Road Reserve in Mentone shine with a $260,000 energy efficient upgrade to the reserve’s sporting lights.
This election commitment will significantly enhance visibility and safety for all players, coaches, and officials at St Bedes/Mentone Tigers AFC and visiting clubs and community groups.
Upgrading the existing sporting lights to energy-efficient LED lighting will allow for extended playing and training hours to accommodate growing interest in playing football, particularly in the junior and female teams.
This upgrade will benefit the wider community who use the reserve and promote active and healthy lifestyles.
The improvements are also better for the environment and will help cut energy costs.
Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
