Federal Member for Isaacs
LABOR TO EXTEND DINGLEY VILLAGE MENS SHED
A federal Labor government will invest $50,000 to extend the Dingley Village Mens Shed in Braeside Park.
Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus made the election commitment at the shed, promising that if Labor is elected to government at the federal election due in the first half of 2019, that $50,000 will be invested to extend the Dingley Village Mens Sheds machinery shed in Braeside Park.
Labor cares about our community. The men at Dingley Village Mens Shed have been calling for this for years. I have listened and Labor has listened, Mr Dreyfus said.
This investment is a game changer for the Dingley Village Mens Shed. It is a very popular local group that needs to grow to accommodate all of the men interested in using the sheds facilities.
Mens sheds are some of the great institutions of our community and the Dingley Village Mens Shed is among the busiest in the Cities of Kingston and Greater Dandenong.
Only a Labor government will deliver this investment, Mr Dreyfus said.
This is the second time that Mr Dreyfus has delivered for the Dingley Village Mens Shed, having assisted the group to obtain an $8,600 federal grant to install a suspended ceiling and evaporative coolers late in 2018.
