Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has congratulated the Chelsea Community Church of Christ on receiving a $2,895 federal grant to install split system air conditioners in the annexe of its building, where the church runs a free food pantry, hair dressing, mens shed and counselling service.
Congratulations to the Chelsea Community Church of Christ, which does great work in our community. Hundreds of locals use the free food pantry every month and these air conditioners will make it much easier for the volunteers of this great service to do their work during summer and winter, Mr Dreyfus said.
I was very pleased to provide my support for this grant and am pleased that it was approved through the Department of Business Stronger Communities Program.
I look forward to the Chelsea Community Church of Christ providing many more years of climate-controlled service to our community, Mr Dreyfus said.
