SILENCE ON WHALING IN THE SOUTHERN OCEAN

The Turnbull Government is hiding in the shadows on action to stop Japan's whalers.

We know that the Japanese whaling fleet is likely in the Southern Ocean right now slaughtering whales under the guise of scientific whaling. This year no one is watching them and sending us pictures. That doesn't mean the Government can hide from doing its job.

The Government has to take action.

Why isn't the Turnbull Government taking urgent action against Japan in the International Tribunal on the Law of the Sea?

This action would focus on the Japanese scientific whaling program,to show it breaches the Law of the Sea Convention with respect to the conservation and management of cetaceans.

Labor had the courage to take legal action. Why is Malcolm Turnbull hiding in the shadows?
