ONE NATIONS ATTACK ON MUSLIMS UNDERMINES NATIONAL SECURITY TURNBULL'S HYPOCRISY IS DEAFENING
Malcolm Turnbull's weak criticism of Pauline Hanson's reprehensible comments about Australian Muslims is hollow and hypocritical.
You cannot be the leader of a party that does a preference deal with One Nation, then pretend its leaders comments have nothing to do with you.
These comments about Australian Muslims are untrue and hurtful, fly in the face of advice from our national security agencies, and risk the kind of division in our society which undermines national security.
If Mr Turnbull truly believed Senator Hanson's comments were unacceptable, he would abandon the dirty deal his party has done with One Nation to secure votes in Western Australia.
Mr Turnbull should also repudiate his Minister Arthur Sinodinos who says One Nation is a sophisticated political party.
Senator Hanson's comments undermine our social fabric by feeding the sort of division that extremist groups crave, and which we should be doing everything we can to counter.
As a career politician for over 20 years, Senator Hanson should know better.
Labor has drawn a line and will put One Nation last at the West Australian election this weekend.
Just as we are seeing with the Liberal/One Nation unity ticket in cutting penalty rates, Australians are seeing that a vote for One Nation is a vote for the Liberal Party.
