SKYES THE LIMIT FOR SOCCER CLUB
Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has welcomed news that the Skye Soccer Club will receive $5,000 to undergo kitchen renovations at their clubrooms.
Mr Dreyfus recommended the project for funding under the second round of the Stronger Communities Grants Programme.
The Skye Soccer Club has long planned to conduct these renovations and the new kitchen will be of enormous benefit to the Club and to community members keen to watch a game of soccer at the Skye Recreation Reserve, Mr Dreyfus said.
The Stronger Communities Programme provides grants between $5,000 and $20,000 and is available for projects that improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of local communities.
Mark Dreyfus worked with a Community Advisory Committee to identify which ideas represented the best investment in our community, and then made a final recommendation on which projects should receive funding.
