MARK DREYFUS TO SWIM AGAIN IN MENTONE OPEN WATER SWIM
Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus will swim in the Mentone Open Water Swim on Saturday 3 December.
I am a proud supporter of the Mentone Lifesaving Club and am very pleased to be entering this swim yet again. It is a relatively young swimming event, but is fast becoming a key event on the Bayside calendar, Mr Dreyfus said.
The Mentone Life Saving Club is an institution of our community and plays an important role in the water safety education and social lives of many local residents.
With the warm weather this Spring Ive been able to go for a few swims, so although being in Canberra for Parliament these past two weeks is not the best training, Im hopeful to finish the 1km in reasonable time.
At the end of the day, Ill just be happy to do my bit to raise some funds for the Mentone Lifesaving Club, Mr Dreyfus said.
