MARK DREYFUS CONDEMNS CAMPAIGN VANDALISM
Member for Isaacs, Mark Dreyfus today condemned the vandalism of election materials in the Isaacs electorate.
It is extremely disappointing to see this kind of vandalism. Signs placed by supporters on their fences or in their gardens have been vandalised and torn down, Mr Dreyfus said.
I have also had a trailer of mine, with campaign signs attached, stolen.
It is unfortunate that opponents of mine have descended into a dirty tricks campaign. First we had a disgracefully misleading flyer letterboxed by my Liberal opponent, and now we are seeing a campaign of intimidation and theft by some people opposed to my campaign, MrDreyfus said.
"We as a community are better than this. I can assure our community that my campaign and my volunteers will never deface, steal or vandalise the campaign materials of my opponent.
I would hope that my opponent could make this same statement."
