KINGSTON HAWTHORN CRICKET CLUB SOARS WITH GRANT
Kingston Hawthorn Cricket Club has been awarded a $9,100 federal grant through the Stronger Communities Program after its grant application to build a new storage shed was endorsed by Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus and approved by the Department of Business.
This grant will allow the growing Kingston Hawthorn Cricket Club to play and train at Walter Galt Reserve in Parkdale without players and parents having to haul heavy equipment to and from the ground each week, Mr Dreyfus said.
I congratulate the Kingston Hawthorn Hawks on its success and look forward to the construction of the shed over the summer.
Cricket is a sport that brings our community closer together. I was very pleased to be able to help this great club to get funding to build this shed, Mr Dreyfus said.
