DREYFUS DELIVERS FOR MENTONE RESERVE
FederalMember for Isaacs, Mark Dreyfus, has announced that a Shorten Labor Government will invest $800,000 to upgrade and realign the home change rooms at the St Bedes / Mentone Tigers clubhouse at Mentone Reserve.
St Bedes / Mentone Tigers are a big part of the Mentone community and have been working with state and local government to deliver their vision of a redeveloped Mentone Reserve, Mr Dreyfus said.
This funding under a Labor Government will be the final piece of the puzzle, allowing the club to knock down and realign the home change rooms to better fit the heritage listed grandstand which was built in 1928. This rebuilding and realignment will have a double effect, allowing the playing field to be extended and widened to suit today's style of AFL.
This facility would be of enormous benefit to our local community and the thousands of sporting club members who use the Mentone Reserve every year.
I am very proud to be supporting this club that supports our community every single year, Mr Dreyfus said.
