DREYFUS CALLS ON TURNBULL GOVERNMENT TO GET BEHIND THOMPSONS ROAD UPGRADE
Federal Member for Isaacs, Mark Dreyfus, has called on the Turnbull Government to match Labors commitment to invest inan upgrade of Thompsons Road, after the government failed to include this important project in road funding announcements made this week.
During this years election campaign, Federal Labor committed to upgrading Thompsons Road if elected to government.
My Labor colleagues and I are deeply committed to upgrading Thompsons Road and relieving the congestion that residents of Carrum Downs, Skye, Cranbourne and surrounding suburbs have to deal with on a daily basis, Mr Dreyfus said.
Labor remains committed to upgrading Thompsons Road and its time that the Turnbull Government came to the party and upgraded this essential piece of local infrastructure.
I can assure local residents that Labor will continue to represent the interests of local residents and continue to push the government to upgrade Thompsons Road, Mr Dreyfus said.
