DREYFUS AND RICHARDSON TO RACE IN CFA FUN RUN REMATCH
Federal Member for Isaacs Mark Dreyfus has today challenged State Member for Mordialloc Tim Richardson for a rematch in the 5km Edithvale CFA All Fired Up Fun Run on 25 March 2018.
Mr Dreyfus and Mr Richardson raced each other in the fun run in 2017, raising funds for the Edithvale CFA.
Tim just beat me home last year, but Ive been in training, running on Mordialloc Beach, and am quietly confident Ill be able to turn the tables this year, Mr Dreyfus said.
The CFA is one of the great institutions of our community and whatever happens Ill be pleased to do my bit to support this great community organisation.
Tim Richardson won the three-way race against Mark Dreyfus and Edithvale CFA Brigade Captain Graham Fountain last year.
Im still feeling alright about holding first place Ive been running up and down Bicentennial Park and the training definitely feels good, but you never know what might happen! Mr Richardson said.
Win or lose, this event is all about supporting the great work of our local CFA, and Im especially proud to be helping them move in to their brand new Fire Station soon.
